Sloped Block Pool Surrounds Landscaping Fletcher

The client was after a functional and easily maintainable outdoor space for her children; in collaboration with MUD Landscape Design, the team came up with a landscape design that incorporated various elements, such as a pool, an entertainment area, decking, outdoor seating and lighting, and a dedicated cubby house for the kids.

The client encountered hurdles due to the challenging sloped landscape and limited access to their site, finding it difficult to secure a landscaper for the construction phase of this project. However, that’s where we stepped in! Jason Reading Landscapes stepped up to tackle the challenge of taking on the project’s construction phase.

This project presented our team with several challenges. Accessing our client’s backyard proved extremely difficult, requiring permission from a neighbouring property to bring machinery and materials. The steeply sloping yard also posed a challenge. Still, by adhering to the design provided by MUD Landscape Design, JRL executed the project to impeccable standards. Furthermore, the client’s residence fell within a ‘flame zone’ BAL rating area, necessitating the use of entirely non-combustible materials—no timber was allowed in construction.

Our approach to fulfilling the client’s needs involved constructing the project according to the provided design and resolving each challenge as it arose. We successfully completed the project through access granted by the neighbouring property, the use of non-combustible materials, adherence to the client’s budget, and strict compliance with the design.
